Darling Daughter

Its our 14th marriage anniversary yesterday. Sid was busy with his CEO visiting the city. So I was not sure if he'd be home early. He reached home around 8:30pm (early under normal circumstances) Kids and I were super excited as mom and madhu have sent a cake to cut. Kids waited for him to freshen up and could no longer hold their excitement. So I spilled the beans and asked him to get ready soon for a cake cutting session (albeit photo session included)

We had to call mom over a video call so Ishi took charge of arranging the cake and call mom too. Suddenly we realized there wont be any pics if its a video call. Hence she few pics of us and Pratheek who could not wait any longer to cut the cake himself. And soon after she called up mom again to view the cake cutting. It kept troubling me that 4 of us dont have a pic of today but she dint feel bad about it. Behaved very matured for her age. I could see that all her concentration was to see that cake cutting happens smoothly.

We ordered food from outside and sat down with a drink. And switched on the TV. She voluntarily came and told us that we both can watch whatever we wanted and that she'd handle Pratheek in the green bedroom. We let them sit there for a while but could not sit happily without them being around. We asked them to sit with us and happily watched Jordindian (anytime fav hands down)

When the time came to hit the sack, she came to me and said "Mom I'd sleep in the other room today and you and dad can sleep in the same room." I could not hide my happiness with the way she thought at that point of time. All she thought was...."SOMEWAY I HAVE TO KEEP MOM AND DAD HAPPY. Its their day" It was a very sweet gesture from her. But we choose to sleep together ....all 4 of us. We are family and a happy one at that. Love you so much Ishi. My darling.

Special Bond

Last night, I went to cult locking up kids at home.

Ishi took such good care of her little brother. When I came back home, he woke up from his sleep and said that his akks played him "Jaya hanuman" to put him to sleep without any nightmares. My heart swelled with happiness. I just went and kissed her in her sleep.

They both fight a lot which is normal among all siblings. But at the end of it, they both cant survive a day without each other. She loved her bro so much. Reminds me of the time when I gave birth to Pratheek and all were anxiously waiting outside the OT to get their hands on our bundle of joy. I always wanted her to hold him first. Everyone oblized. She started singing "yay yay yay nakoka thammudu puttadu" at that moment he was just a doll to her. But that very doll slowly turned into her naughty troubling yet sweet little bro.

God bless them both. They should live in harmony till the very end. And nothing should ever come in between them. For theirs is a very special bond !!

Back From Vacay

After a really long time, we all have been to a holiday (thailand 2019) !! and needless to say it was just too good. I personally dint yearn for 'just one more day here in Thai' !! Meaning it was a satisfactory vacation. Kids never wanted to come back home. We are home last night, but am sure their hearts lay somewhere in those beaches :-) Pratheek's for sure !!

Ishi might be missing her cousins. At times I feel she misses that company. The company of same age gals. I feel sad about it....but thats life. She'll slowly grow up to learn to enjoy the times when she has what she wants and go easy with a 'its ok' attitude when she doesn't. Better if she learns it fast. Atleast being her mom, I cant see the pain or emotional dearth in her heart during those times. So i really wish she should soon understand this difference.

And then talk about vacation. We started on 10th morning(flight @ 9:15am) and reached Bangkok @ 2:45pm (UTC) By the time we were done with immigration formalities, we were left with a little time before we could get into our next flight to Phuket. We just did some window shopping and had an authentic Thai meal.

Later after we boarded the flight and landed in Phuket. By the time we checked into our hotel, it was almost 11pm. We dint waste a minute and hit the sack almost immediately.
Day 1- Next day had a late breakfast and met the other group around 10am. All of us quickly got ready, spent a very short span on the beach right opposite to our resort. And then headed to Tiger Kingdom. Was an ok experience with the tiger cubs there. I personally should have been a bit more bold and held them well.

After that we had lunch at an indian hotel, came back to the resort, freshened up, and been to Fanta Asea. Nice place for a half day outing.

Day 2 - Islands Ishis first Scuba. Hope she loved it. Mine was good as me n Sid could do it together. Hand-in-hand literally. Wish to have such exp again. Pratheek wanted to do it but was undreage plus am sure even if they allowed am sure he would not have been able to handle the gear. Next island we did snorkelling Including our fearless Pratheek. Am glad he did. What a braveheart my son is !!

Day 3- Phuket to Krabi
Day 4- Snorkelling again. All 4 of us
Day 5- To bangkok by flight. And temple tour and Royal palace tour.
Day 6-
Day 7- Got ready and checked out of our hotel. With heavy hearts. We were all quiet on the way to the airport. Sad that this is the last day of our holiday.

Points I wanted to mention. Though with occasional thikkalu, Ishi has been really sweet during the entire trip. Though Pratheek being Pratheek was his "normal self" to her she used to come out of the grumpy mood in no time. Overall, I could see my kids are growing up. Not just physically but mentally too.

Next on my bucket list is to go on a holiday with just Ishi before she flies out of the next.
